This is the second time that Timberlake has had the #2 Song of the Summer. With *NSYNC, he had the runner-up song for 2000, “It’s Gonna Be Me.” JT is one of three artists who have had the #2 Song of the Summer twice without (yet) landing the #1 Song of the Summer. Drake is the fifth Canadian artist to land the #1 Song of the Summer. He follows Carly Rae Jepsen (“Call Me Maybe”), Nelly Furtado (“Promiscuous”), Bryan Adams (“Everything I Do?”), and Paul Anka (“Lonely Boy”).
